I don’t know about you, but I dislike waiting.
A lot. I know millenials get a bad rap a lot of time because we want everything to happen right now. Oh, you too?
Well, here’s the thing. Transformation takes time. Growth takes time. Maturity takes time. Excellence takes time.
A seven year old doesn’t become seventeen just because they want to be a teenager. They have to wait ten years and go through a process of growth and development. Just as a kid cannot speed up the clock, we cannot always speed up our process. While our choices and belief systems will either help or hinder our growth, transformation simply doesn’t happen overnight.
So take a deep breath.
And give yourself permission to be in process.
Yes, you. You are still worthy of love and acceptance and belonging while you are growing.
And let’s be honest, everyone starts at zero. Everyone has a terrible first draft. Everyone is bad when they start something new. So if you’re fumbling around on your journey to growth, on the way to your dreams, if you’re bumbling your way around a new relationship or a new career or a new kid or a new endeavor…this is all part of the beautiful, messy process.
You do not have to have the whole world figured out.
You do not have to have your life perfectly together.
You do not have to “arrive” at a certain destination at a certain time in life.
This is your journey.
This is your process.
GIVE YOURSELF TIME.
