From Self-Hatred to Self-Love
Twelve years ago, I was riddled with shame, debilitating self-hatred, and utter disgust with the person in the mirror. Mean Girl, Regina George, essentially lived in my head reminding me of, oh, literally everything wrong with me.
Without fail, she reminded me of all the ways I didn’t measure up, wasn’t good enough, and could never be loved.
Fun times, amiright?
My inner mean girl bullied me for years. While she still shows up now and then, she doesn’t hang around long these days.
Learning to love myself has been a long, bumpy journey. Even though it hasn’t always been easy, it’s the one trip I’m most glad I’ve taken. In fact, one of my life passions is helping others undergo the same transformation I have from crippling shame, body insecurity, and self-hate, to freedom, confidence, and self-love.
In my journey from self-hatred to self-love, few things have transformed my life more than a consistent journaling routine. Through journaling, I’ve cleared the chaos from my head, reconnected to my heart, ditched some nasty mean girls, and literally turned self-love into a habit that’s now almost as normal to me as breathing.
Making Self-Love A Habit
This is why I created, “Making Self-Love A Habit: A 30 Day Journaling Challenging.” Because I know the power of journaling has had in changing my life, I wanted to share the six most impactful journaling prompts I use on a consistent basis.
In this guide, I break down these six prompts, explain why they’re so powerful in rewiring your brain for self-love, and give you the tools to change your life. I’ve even included printable pages at the end to guide you through these journaling prompts.
Moreover, for the month of November, I’ll be leading a group of people into completing this “Making Self-Love a Habit daily journaling challenge.”
If you’re ready to shift into consistently practicing self-love, I invite you to download this free journaling guide. It’s time to break up with your inner mean girls and make self-love a habit.
Friend, we’re in this self-love journey together.
xoxo
