Waiting for Permission

I’ve spent most of my life waiting for permission.
Permission for what, you ask?
Permission for…everything.
Permission to risk.
Permission to believe in myself.
Permission to dream.
Permission to pursue my dreams.
I’m not sure where or when I learned I didn’t have permission. But somewhere someone convinced me my opinion wasn’t good enough. That I needed someone else to tell me what to do.
I’ve decided I’m no longer waiting for permission.
Instead, I’m going to wake up and choose who I’m going to be, where I’m going to go, and what I’m going to do.
So what are you waiting for?
Start your business.
Write your book.
Ask her out.
Take that trip.
Stop waiting for someone to validate your dreams.
Just do it.
